Categories help organize your policies into a clear structure:

Creating Categories:

  1. Go to Policies page
  2. In the left sidebar, click "New Category"
  3. Enter category name (e.g., "HR Policies")
  4. Optionally select a parent category for subcategories
  5. Click "Create"

Category Structure:

  • Categories can have subcategories (like folders)
  • Example structure:
  • HR
  • Policies
  • Procedures
  • Health & Safety
  • Risk Assessments
  • Training Materials

Organizing Policies:

  • When creating/editing a policy, select its category
  • Policies can be moved between categories
  • Uncategorized policies appear in "Uncategorized"

Viewing by Category:

  • Click a category in the sidebar to filter policies
  • "All" shows all policies regardless of category
  • "Uncategorized" shows only policies without a category

Category Actions:

  • Edit: Change category name or parent
  • Move: Move category to different parent
  • Delete: Remove category (policies become uncategorized)

Best Practices:

  • Use clear, descriptive category names
  • Keep the structure simple (2-3 levels deep)
  • Group related policies together
  • Review and reorganize periodically
